"I have taught at more than seventy academic institutions around the world and this is one of the best. It has fine faculty, a comprehensive curriculum, and supervised hands-on training. "

Harold H. Mosak Ph.D.

"Reading the Adler Graduate School's (AGS) proposal for it's expansion into the community in a variety of ways, incorporating additional training for more students and utilizing Adler Graduates' abilities is very exciting and rewarding for me. When my late Husband, W.L.Pew, M.D. and I came to the Twin Cities in 1965 enthusiastic about the Adlerian point of view we never could have imagined this current Adler Graduate School and all that it accomplishes for students and the community"

Miriam L. Pew, LMFT, LICSW

"As Executive Director of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP), I commend and support the Adler Graduate School in their efforts to offer effective and affordable mental health services, child care and related family services, as well as school counseling programs.  These endeavors parallel NASAP's mission which is to foster and promote research, knowledge, training, and application of Adlerian Psychology. NASAP's membership is comprised of individuals and affiliate organizations that promote and practice Adlerian Psychology. Of the 28 affiliate organizations, the Adler Graduate School Affiliate, comprised of faculty and students, is certainly a shining star.  It is known to have an outstanding faculty that effectively prepares students to make a difference in the community.  Likewise, its leadership is strong as evidenced by the recent completion of a comprehensive on-line publishing project by the School's Library Services with the support of a NASAP grant. This on-line service has been made available to the Adlerian community at large.  In fact, the NASAP Board believes so much in their leadership abilities that they have selected them to host our 2010 annual conference."

Rebecca LaFountain, Ed.D., Licensed Psychologist

"The Adler Graduate School puts into action Alfred Adler’s concepts of social interest, wholeness, responsibility, cooperation and community engagement. Unquestionably, it is an institution of higher education that embraces the needs of its students and all the people of Minnesota."

Mel Markowski, Ph.D., Past President, The North American Society of Adlerian Psychology

"I am proud to be associated with Adler Graduate School for three reasons.  The school consistently focuses on improving to assure that we put out top of the line professionals and this is confirmed by comments from the professional community.  I am also proud that with all the problems facing many in our community, we are moving to directly address those problems through a Counseling Clinic, a School Counselor Training Center and a Therapeutic Child Care Center for preschool children.  Finally, as a founder of Adler Graduate School, I am extremely proud that the school has exceeded the dreams that we had for what we could accomplish by creating this school."

Susan Pye Brokaw, AGS Founder and Core Instructor

"There is no doubt in my mind that the Adler Graduate School has emerged as the pre-eminent institution offering Adlerian graduate training in North America.  It has been a joy to have the well prepared and enthusiastic students from the Institute participate in my classes at the International Adlerian Summer Institute (ICASSI).   My fervent wish for residents of the Southeastern United States is that the day will arrive when a branch of the Adler Graduate School of Minnesota will be based in our region."

Francis X. Walton, Ph.D.

Psychologist and Consultant, President, Adlerian Child Care Centers, Inc., Columbia, SC, Faculty member and former board member of the International Committee for Adlerian Summer Schools and Institutes (ICASSI), and President of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology, 1976 & 1977.

"When people ask me about my English (a frequent question given my accent), I often say that my first English came from Adler. I attended my first class at the then Alfred Adler Institute of Minnesota in July of 1995, few months after arriving in the US as a refugee from the former Soviet Union. I barely spoke (or so I felt), clinging to a dictionary and tape recorder, as life saving equipment, at all times. I was unemployed and on welfare. I did not drive and did not know how to. When I first came, I knew seven people in this country. By July, this number grew to about 20 or so. I was culturally aphasic.

This is when I walked into Adler.

I spent the next 13 years growing up and raising a family, learning and teaching, reaching out to more people than I could ever imagine, and reaching into myself more deeply than I could ever dare to. With all these various experiences, the Adler Graduate School will always remain the very first place in this country where I felt I genuinely belonged, where I've had my immigration rebirth experience validated, and where I have acquired the best of my English -- my Adlerian English."

Marian Bluvshtein, PhD AGS Adjunct Instructor and Co-Chair of AGS Faculty Senate
